Job Description

Position Summary:

The position will lead our full stack development, under the BI and Data Analytics Team. Responsible for defining and implementing cloud ready solution, operational processes, workflows, integrations, conversions and utilities. This will also include: BI tool implementation, automation, dashboard and KPI creation and self-service offerings both on-premise and in the cloud. Hands on leadership necessary to grow the organization from start-up into a mature organization.

 

Qualifications Required:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.10+ years of experience in Financial Data and Engineering working on multiple large, cross-functional teams or projects.
  • 7+ years of experience liaising with business facing teams to define business and technical requirements to meet their strategic objectives
  • 5+ years working with cloud and cloud adoption strategies (Preferably Azure)
  • 5+ years of experience managing large, multi-faceted projects
  • Strong knowledge of coding and building robust BI frameworks
  • Advanced experience in developing software in the latest version of Microsoft .Net
  • Experience with secure coding practices and standards
  • Experience in converting business requirements into technical requirements and delivering advanced data solutions
  • Extensive experience in creating robust self-servicing reporting and operational platforms
  • Extensive BI dash boarding experience
  • Knowledge of banking systems and terminology
  • 10 years of financial industry experience
  • Experience in communicating with user communities with respect to existing processes and proposed improvements
  • Advanced experience developing systems for use by departments and companies to improve workflow, communication, collaboration, efficiency and effectiveness
  • Ability to work in a team environment as a role player and leader
  • Excellent organizational, analytical and problem solving skills

  • Excellent technical and computer skills including but not limited to: Azure and Azure services (Data Lake, Data Factory, DataBricks, Synapse, Analysis Services), Python, SQL, PySpark, UNIX shell scripting, ETL (Informatica, AbInitio, SSIS), BI tooling (Cognos, Tableau, PowerBI), .Net framework, C#, REST-based Web Services, SSO with SAML and OAUTH2, HTML, AI & ML concepts

Essential functions and responsibilities:
  • Define BI Platform requirements and work with IT team to deliver
  • Define, Develop, and implement KPI’s and dashboards in partnership with business units
  • Remove manual processes and data capture, and replace with robust automated BI solutions
  • Build streamlined integration processes wherever full automation cannot be achieved
  • Create self-service BI capability and roll out and train existing staff both in IT and BU’s
  • Oversees software development throughout all stages of software development life cycle (SDLC) including planning, risk assessment, analysis, design, implementation and maintenance
  • Develops and standardizes software development processes and procedures to minimize the impact of software upgrades
  • Implements strategies to achieve goals assigned to the department; assists in the development of the annual budget
  • Build and maintain self-service operational systems and workflows to support internal and external clients
  • Engineer migration strategy and path to cloud
  • Maintain clear documentation of architectures, data flows, systems, processes and tasks
  • Technical leader that can innovate in the planning, developing and implementing state of the art information solutions, facilitating corporate growth and stability
  • Work with the business to define common data definitions and capture metadata
  • Design, run, test and upgrade systems and processes
  • Manage cost and time constraints
  • Perform risk assessments
  • Assist in security assessments and technical audits
  • Provide leadership in developing standards, architectural design patterns and best practices
