Job Description

Position Summary:

Responsible for assisting the SVP, Director of Internal Audit; implementing strategies to achieve goals developed for the department; ensuring the department’s compliance with operating policies and procedures and outside regulatory requirements; communicating with appropriate management and coworkers; providing periodic reports.

Qualifications Required:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field;
  • Ability to work in a team environment as a role player and leader;
  • Strong computer skills (MS Office, etc.);
  • High degree of attention to detail and ability to multitask;
  • Ability to communicate, orally and in writing;

Essential functions and responsibilities:
  • Manage and maintain the Bank’s SOX software system, including the preparation and maintenance of associated written procedures relative to the same.
  • Coordinate and schedule all SOX walkthroughs subject to the external auditor’s timeframe.
  • Perform various internal audits and the associated reports, consistent with the Audit Committee’s approved annual audit plan, under the supervision of the SVP, Director of Internal Audit.
  • Review audit programs/scoping documents of outside firms in conjunction with scheduled audits to ensure that scoping is appropriate, and includes topics identified via internal and external sources.
  • Prepare the initial annual budget and assist with the preparation of the final budget.
  • Assist with the development of the annual internal audit risk assessment and audit plan, as necessary.
  • Assist with the scheduling, document collection, and follow-up for all internal audits, as required.
  • Utilize the Bank’s tracking software for the purpose of maintaining audit results and follow-up thereto.
  • Assist with data collection and submission of the same relative to the annual financial statement audit.
  • Assist with the collection, submission of documents and follow-up requests relative to FDIC and PADOBS regulatory examinations.
  • Communicate with Auditors, Consultants, and Regulators, as necessary.
  • Assist with the preparation of responsive materials, in conjunction with the Bank’s legal counsel and the Director of Internal Auditor, relative to subpoenas that require additional levels of security.
  • Assist in efforts to achieve established goals.
  • Serve as a liaison for the Department with other business areas and develop relationships with the same.
  • Provide periodic reports to the Division Manager and other groups as required throughout the Bank.
