SBA Loan Processor/Closer

Job Description

Position Summary:

Responsible for performing various duties to support the SBA Lending Department; coordinating work within the department, as well as with other departments; complying with operating policies and procedures established for this position.  Reporting pertinent information to the immediate supervisor; responding to inquiries or requests for information.

 

Qualifications Required:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related field; or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 1 year of banking experience
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Strong computer skills (MS Office, etc.)
  • High degree of attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Working knowledge of consumer regulations
  • LaserPro or other mortgage software experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of Bank’s tickler system preferred
  • Proficient knowledge of SBA’s SOP
Essential functions and responsibilities:
  • Assists in activities to finalize the SBA loan settlements to meet critical deadlines
  • Coordinates closing date and location between, Lender and Closing Agent
  • Gathers and reviews all information for completion of settlement documents, charges and instructions from documentation provided in file
  • Responsible for monitoring pipeline in order to ensure timely disclosures and preparation of all closing documentation
  • Reviews title report
  • Inputs accurate closing information in LaserPro
  • Assists with the preparation and reviews Loan Estimate and other disclosures for accuracy and compliance, prior to closing
  • Responsible for any post-closing changes to the Closing Disclosure
  • Responsible to send loan documents to title company
  • Responsible to set up wires to closing agent
  • Assist with the preparation of loan files for post-closing
  • Works with title company for any outstanding issues
  • Responsible for input of HMDA information into LaserPro
  • Runs credit reports, property searches, flood certification and appraisals
  • Assists with maintaining insurance ticklers
  • Scans consumer credit loan files
