Job Description

Position Summary:

Responsible for performing various duties to support the Processing Department; coordinating work within the department, as well as with other departments; complying with operating policies and procedures established for this position. Reporting pertinent information to the immediate supervisor; responding to inquiries or requests for information.

Qualifications Required:
  • High School diploma
  • Associate’s degree in Business or related field desired
  • Minimum 2 years experience processing Conventional, FHA and VA loans
  • Highly organized and proactive; able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Strong computer skills (MS Office, etc.)
  • High degree of attention to detail and ability to multitask
Essential functions and responsibilities:
  • Reviews residential loan application files to verify that application data is complete and meets company
  • Responsible for processing mortgage loan applications from the credit check to document preparation
  • Makes intro call to verify loan details and requests additional documentation if necessary
  • Reviews all documents retrieved against those requested, analyzes for accuracy and/or errors
  • Prepares necessary documents and submits mortgage loan application files for underwriting approval
  • Submits conditions to Underwriter to clear loan for approval
  • Follows up on all outstanding orders to third parties and borrowers within established company deadlines
  • Completes verifications for credit items which include, but are not limited to: employment, asset information,
    rental history, credit reports, etc.
  • Prepares file for closing and submits to closer
  • Ensures the timely and compliant closing of all types of residential mortgage loans within established deadlines

    requirements, e.g. Community Reinvestment Act (CRA), Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Equal Credit Opportunity Act,
