Job Description

Position Summary:

Responsible for providing direct support to the Commercial & Industrial Lending unit for the customer service and processing of loan and deposit products through the entire customer life cycle; coordinating work within the department, as well as with other departments; complying with operating policies and procedures established for this position.  Reporting pertinent information to the immediate supervisor; responding to inquiries or requests for information.

Qualifications Required:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related field; or equivalent work experience
  • Knowledge of banking systems including primary database and online systems
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in a commercial lending environment
  • Strong computer skills (MS Office, etc.)
  • High degree of attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Flexible approach to new assignments
  • Notary Public (or the ability to become one
Essential functions and responsibilities:
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Provides service support to 3-5 commercial loan officers by assisting with all client servicing needs
  • Performs diverse, advanced and confidential administrative support functions
  • Services internal and external customers with excellent customer service which includes answering customer queries and completing administrative work to process loan and deposit requests
  • Support the sales process and development prospecting of Relationship Managers including managing prospect lists and organizational tasks
  • Performs insurance due diligence / reviews for C&I Loans
  • Ensures compliance to government regulations and bank policies and procedures
  • Provides external customer support for inbound servicing inquiries related to any of the client’s accounts
  • Assists document prep unit around loan closings and related documentation activities
  • Facilitates and occasionally attends loan closings. Performs role of backup relationship manager. Effectuates communication with customer in this role
  • Works closely with the Information Manager to update and populate the tickler system
  • Facilitate and administers internal processes around loan administration such as financial information gathering, and other tickler system maintenance
