Position Summary:

Position summary: The position will assist in the development and delivery of our BI strategy, under the BI and Data Analytics Team. Responsible for defining and implementing cloud ready BI solution. This will include: BI tool implementation, automation, dashboard and KPI creation and self-service offerings both on-premise and in the cloud. Hands on leadership necessary to grow the organization from start-up into a mature organization.

Qualifications Required:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in Financial Data and Engineering working on multiple large, cross-functional teams or projects.
  • 3+ years of experience liaising with business facing teams to define business and technical requirements to meet their strategic objectives.
  • Preferred – 1+ years working with cloud and cloud adoption strategies (Preferably Azure) or ability to pick up quickly and learn through hands on experience
  • Experience working with Jack Henry (Silverlake)
  • Preferred – experience managing large, multi-faceted projects
  • Strong Knowledge of coding and building robust BI frameworks
  • Experience in converting business requirements into technical requirements and delivering advanced reporting
  • Experience in creating robust self-servicing reporting platforms
  • Dash boarding creation and publishing experience
  • Knowledge of banking systems and terminology
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Excellent organizational, analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with ability to communicate to all levels
  • Excellent technical and computer skills including but not limited to: Azure and Azure services (Data Lake, Data Factory, DataBricks, Synapse, Analysis Services), Python, SQL, PySpark, UNIX shell scripting, ETL (Informatica, AbInitio, SSIS), BI tooling (Cognos, Tableau, PowerBI)
  • High degree of attention to detail and ability to multitask
Essential functions and responsibilities:
  • Support and assist Finance team members in complex reconciliations
  • Ensure the data integrity (assurance and consistency of data over its entire life cycle) of the bank’s various data stores including but not limited to:
    • Silverlake;
    • BSI;
    • CLCS;
    • Profitability;
    • RPM;
    • In-house Data Warehouse.
  • Assist in ensuring that the Warehouse data and the underlying processes to accumulate and process data meets SOX requirements;
  • Define BI Platform requirements and work with IT team to deliver
  • Define, Develop, and implement KPI’s and dashboards in partnership with business units
  • Remove manual processes and data capture, and replace with robust automated BI solutions
  • Create self service capability and roll out and train existing staff both in IT and BU’s
  • Assist with migration strategy and path to cloud
  • Technical leader that can innovate in the planning, developing and implementing state of the art information solutions, facilitating corporate growth and stability
  • Work with the business to define common data definitions and capture metadata
  • Design, run, test and upgrade systems and processes
  • Manage cost and time constraints
  • Perform risk assessments
  • Provide leadership in developing standards, architectural design patterns and best practices
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates, department leads, outside consultants and vendors
  • Collaborate with all functions of the bank to ensure digital process improvement needs are addressed
