Job Description

Position Summary:

Position summary:   Responsible for developing, managing and monitoring regulatory compliance for the Bank. This officer should ensure that the bank’s products and services are in compliance with appropriate regulations and that employees are properly trained in all aspects of regulatory compliance.

Qualifications Required:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, legal or related field.
  • 5+ years’ experience in banking, legal, audit, fraud or similar experience.
  • Understanding of State and Federal regulatory requirements to maintain compliance.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Knowledge of general banking principles and operations.

Qualifications desired:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in related position.
Essential functions and responsibilities:
  • Responsible for regulatory compliance matters for the Bank and its subsidiaries’.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of procedures and policies.
  • Maintains knowledge of current federal and state laws and regulations.
  • Monitors and communicates regulatory changes that impact business activities and products.
  • Coordinates compliance education and training programs to maintain proficiency with laws regulations.
  • Assist BSA/AML Officer with monitoring/reporting related to the Bank Secrecy Act and Anti Money Laundering Compliance.
  • Assists Bank CRA officer with monitoring/reporting related to the Community Reinvestment Act Compliance.
  • Develops training and continuing education programs in concert with specific functional areas to maintain the Bank’s compliance.
  • May act as back-up to the Senior Compliance Officer (SCO) on other consumer compliance related issues.

  • Cooperates with, participates in, and supports the adherence to all internal policies, procedures, and practices in support of risk management and overall safety and soundness and the Bank’s compliance with all regulatory requirements, e.g. Community Reinvestment Act (CRA), Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Equal Credit Opportunity Act, etc.
